Wash mitt
Classic Mitt
Short-pile microfibre mitt designed for washing especially dirty parts such as wheels and sills. A gentle mitt that also withstands solvent-based cleaners!
The King Carthur Classic Mitt is a microfibre wash mitt designed for heavy use and built to withstand even strong cleaning agents. Its short-pile surface and durable microfibre construction make it an excellent tool for washing especially dirty areas such as wheels and sills. The mitt's flexible material and short pile also give a good feel for all the shapes of the surface being washed, so tight and hard-to-reach areas can be cleaned conveniently. Despite its short pile, the Classic Mitt is very soft and absorbent, so it does not scratch or otherwise damage the surface being washed and can therefore be used safely on delicate surfaces too. This long-lasting mitt can also be used without worry with solvent-based cleaners, as it withstands all the chemicals used in car washing particularly well. In addition to its excellent washing properties, the Classic Mitt is just the right size for washing all surfaces, large or small. The mitt is also fitted with a snug elastic cuff, so it stays on your hand both while washing and while rinsing it in the wash bucket.

Quick guide
- Microfibre products are almost without exception machine washable and should always be washed before first use. If a microfibre product is washed with other laundry, it is wisest to put it in a separate wash bag, so that the cloth does not rub and wear the other items or pick up lint from them. We recommend using a detergent made specifically for microfibre, e.g. King Carthur Microfiber Wash, so that the cloth is cleaned properly and kept as fluffy and absorbent as possible.
- If normal laundry detergent is used, make sure it does not contain zeolite or other thinners, and do not use a separate fabric softener. Drying cloths should not be washed at the same time as, for example, cloths used for waxing, so that wax residues released from those cloths do not clog the drying cloth.
- Microfibre products should be washed regularly, at the washing temperature given in the care label. The temperature usually ranges between 30 and 60 degrees. Very dirty microfibre may not get properly clean at 30 degrees and may need a higher temperature than the washing instructions give. However, using a temperature higher than the instructions carries risks: microfibres washed at a low 30 degrees in particular may easily shrink (or otherwise suffer) if the washing temperature is raised above the manufacturer's instructions.
