Solvent Detergent King Carthur NextGen Degreaser

King Carthur NextGen Degreaser is a completely new type of super-efficient pre-wash/solvent detergent, which combines the cleaning power of a so-called cold degreaser and the removal properties of especially difficult dirt stains, as well as the safety of biodegradable detergents for the user and the environment. Despite the high cleaning power, there are no warning signs on the label of the substance, and it can also be used without worry for washing in the home, unlike environmentally harmful substances, e.g. petroleum-based substances. The washing power of NextGen Degreaser is between solvent detergents and small-scale removers, meaning it effectively removes dirt that normal pre-washes may not be able to remove. The substance works brilliantly on, for example, road salt and its substitutes, light tar stains, grease and diesel residues, and engine oil splashes. Especially in winter, it makes washing significantly easier by easily removing salt and its substitutes even before washing gloves.

Although NextGen Degreaser acts as a super-effective pre-wash agent when used alone, it is not directly intended to replace traditional pre-wash with a foam cleaner, but to complement it and improve the effectiveness of the pre-wash, especially the removal of particularly difficult stains. It can be used on both dry and wet surfaces, i.e. the agent can be sprayed on the surface of the car before pre-washing with foam, and after pre-washing to remove more stubborn stains. Spraying on wet surfaces also allows for easy re-treatment if the car has such stubborn dirt that it requires more than one treatment. In situations where the car is particularly dirty (in winter, it has been covered in salt spray, diesel has spilled on the side, in summer the car has accumulated so-called traffic film on the surface for a long time or has been driven through a fresh asphalt construction site), using NextGen Degreaser in conjunction with the pre-wash allows for maximum dirt removal.

Also a great product for washing engine rooms, heavy equipment, machinery, etc.: when NextGen Degreaser is sprayed onto the surface (especially oily surfaces) first, and then foamed with, for example, KC's Total, even the most difficult stains can be removed in one treatment. Unlike traditional solvents/cold degreasers, NextGen Degreaser does not contain petroleum or other toxic ingredients, but its effectiveness is based on ethyl acetate. Therefore, it is safe for all exterior surfaces of the car, including sensitive plastic parts that may absorb strong solvents. In terms of usability, in addition to safety, a big plus is also the smell of the product: the pleasant cherry scent delights the sense of smell.

Among organic solvents, ethyl acetate is considered one of the least harmful to the environment. It is both highly effective and readily biodegradable in both air and water (biodegradable). Ethyl acetate is produced industrially by the reaction of acetic acid and ethanol catalyzed by sulfuric acid.

Quick Guide

Mix the detergent thoroughly before use.

Use as a pre-cleaner: Spray onto dry or wet surface (best cleaning effect is achieved on dry surface), leave on for 2-10 minutes (DO NOT LET DRY) and rinse surface thoroughly. Continue with handwash.

Use as a pre-wash booster: Spray onto dry surface, leave for a few minutes (do not let dry) then apply the actual pre-wash as a foam to the surface. Leave the ingredients to work for as long as possible, but do not let them dry. Rinse thoroughly and continue with the actual glove wash.

NOTE! Do not use on warm surfaces or in direct sunlight. Do not allow to dry on the surface.
